Terms of Use
Last updated: 5 September 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms govern your use of the website at hirira.com and its tools (the “Service”). By using the Service you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Service.
2. The Service
Hirira provides free browser-based tools to compress, resize and convert image files. All processing runs on your own device; no file is transmitted to us. No account is required and no fee is charged.
3. Your files and your rights in them
You keep every right you already had in the images you process. We claim no licence, ownership or interest in them of any kind, and could not acquire one in practice, because the files never leave your browser.
You are responsible for making sure you are entitled to use and modify the images you process: that you own them, have permission, or that your use is otherwise lawful.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service:
- to process material that is illegal to possess or distribute where you are, including child sexual abuse material;
- to infringe someone else's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;
- to create material intended to deceive, defame or harass a person;
- to attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the Site or the systems it runs on;
- to strip, scrape or redistribute the Site as your own product;
- in any way that breaks the law that applies to you.
We do not and cannot monitor what you process, because we never receive it. That is a deliberate design choice and it does not make prohibited use acceptable.
5. No warranty
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
In particular, we do not warrant that a given file size target can be met for a given image, that output will be accepted by any third-party system you upload it to, that the Service will work identically in every browser or on every device, or that it will be available uninterrupted. Where a target cannot be met, the Service tells you so rather than reporting a false success, but the underlying limit is a property of image formats and your device, not something we can remove.
6. Back up your originals
Compression and resizing discard image data permanently, and flattening transparency into a JPG cannot be undone. Always keep your original files until you have opened and checked the output. We are not able to recover a file for you, because we never had it.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hirira and anyone involved in operating it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, images, profits, revenue or opportunity, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the Service, even if advised that such damages were possible.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you, and you may have consumer rights that these Terms cannot override.
8. Advertising and third-party links
The Service is intended to be supported by advertising. Advertising is not currently active; see the Privacy Policy for what will change when it is. Advertisements and any third-party links are not endorsements, and we are not responsible for third-party content, products or practices.
9. Intellectual property in the Site
The Hirira name, logo, page designs, text and source code are owned by Hirira and protected by intellectual property law. You may use the Service as intended; you may not copy the Site to operate a competing service, or present it as your own.
10. Availability and changes
We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, including adding or removing tools and adjusting device-dependent limits. We may also update these Terms; the date at the top will change, and continuing to use the Service after that constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of Indonesia will have jurisdiction over any dispute. This does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer laws in your country of residence.
